Please help me … Thanks Just wish ya have video show how to knit this pretty Braided Lace Stitch…. Have good day… MJ Bouchard
Hello!
So to “sl 2 as if to k2tog” means to slip two stitches over to the right hand needle in the same way as if you were going to knit two stitches together except you do not knit them, you just slip them over, that way you can then pick both those stitches up to pass it over the knitted stitch, creating a decrease.
The pattern is just for the lace panel, I added two purl stitches in-between each panel (by that I mean reverse stockinette stitch so you purl on the right side of work and knit on the wrong side), you could add more or less and this would create more or less space between the lace panel.
I hope it helps, I don’t have a set up to create videos yet. It is something I am considering.
Good luck!

When I look at the pattern I see purl between the braided lace stitch and on the paper it not say anything about purl inbetween the lace…. It seems like something is missing… Can you help me… Thanks looking forward to hear from you… Happy Fourth of July…..
Hi MJ Bouchard.
The pattern is just for the lace panel, you can create as many multiples as you like with purl stitch numbers in-between the panels of your choosing, so you can create more or less distance between the panels.
I was wondering… It says to repeat rows 3-14, but there is no row 14. What does that mean then?
Never mind. I figured it out…. Lol! Purl row
Thank you , I have stumbled onto your site, purely by accident. But gosh I’m so ecstatic that its happened. I am wanting to make a shawl for my future daughter in law, Bronwyn.and I’m not a big confident knitter, but am very eager to learn an easy lace leaf pattern! Would you please be so kind to suggest, one that is idiot proof. Many thanks,.
