A new lovely lace knitting stitch for 2017! I called it eagle lace as I get the impression of eagles wings soaring through the sky when I see this knitting stitch.

Abbreviations:
k= knit
p= purl
yo = yarn over
k2tog = knit 2 stitches together
ssk = slip, slip, knit slipped stitches tog. Creates a decrease.

Cast on multiples of 8 + 1
Row 1: *k1, ssk, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, k2tog, * k1
Row 2 and all even rows: purl all
Row 3: *k1, ssk, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, * k1
Row 5: *k1, yo, k1, k2tog, k1, ssk, k1, yo, * k1
Row 7: *k2, yo, k2tog, k1, ssk, yo, k1, * k1
Row 8: purl all
8 rows make up the free lace knitting stitch.
