Very easy and pretty textured knitting pattern. This free knitting stitch is simple yet created quite a complicated looking effect. Reminiscent of rainy days with large raindrops falling from the skies and also like the first buds of spring.
This is a great stitch for children garments, scarves, hats and beanies. Love the playful feel to this.

I don’t understand the cast on! 6+5?
Judy
Hi Judy,
This means you cast on multiples of 6 stitches and then add an extra 5. So say I want to make it a certain width so I cast on 18 stitches and this is divisible by 6, after that I add 5 more stitches in order to complete the pattern.I hope this helps!
Hi.I love this pattern, but I think the numbers differ in each row , and just row one is 11 stitches altogether. please explain the change in numbers of stitches in every row. I am a beginner and it is confusing. None of the rows adds up to 11.
Thank you
