A knitting aid project started by a team of ladies supporting World Jewish Relief has become universal.
A voluntary labor force of about 1,000 recruited by the Pomegranate committee (including ladies from The UK, America, France and Israel) have contributed more than 2,400 squares stitched together for 60 blankets to help WJR clients fight off the cold in Eastern Europe during the freezing winter. These large colorful blankets are being distributed to Jewish communities in Belarus, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine.
