k = knit
p = purl
yo = yarn over
k2tog = knit 2 stitches together.
ssk = slip, slip, knit slipped stitches tog. A decrease.
c4f = (cable 4 front)- slip 2 stitches to a cable needle and hold at the front of the work, knit 2, then knit the 2 stitches from the cable needle.
c4b = (cable 4 back)- slip 2 stitches to a cable needle and hold at the back of the work, knit 2, then knit the 2 stitches from the cable needle.
k tbl = Knit stitch through the back loop
p tbl = purl stitch through the back loop

I have knitted this up twice now and there seems to be some purl stitches missing in between the motifs to separate them ?
Yes, I didn’t state it very clearly but the pattern is for a panel of 9 in a background of stockinette stitch, you can separate it by as many purl stitches as you like.
Just the cable I needed to incorporate with a 42 stitch main cable for a shawl I’m knitting. Yeah. Now, I can get going. Excited!
