Abbreviations:
k = knit
p = purl
k2tog = knit 2 stitches together
k3tog = knit 3 stitches together
ssk = slip, slip, knit slipped stitches tog. A decrease.
Cast on multiples of 14 plus 1
Row 1: k1, *yo, p2, k2tog, k5, ssk, p2, yo, k1*
Row 2: *p2, k2, p7, k2, p1,* p1
Row 3: k1, *yo, k1, p2, k2tog, k3, ssk, p2, k1, yo, k1*
Row 4: *p3, k2, p5, k2, p2, * p1
Row 5: k1, * yo, k2, p2, k2tog, k1, ssk, p2, k2, yo, k1*
Row 6: *p4, k2, p3, k2, p3, * p1
Row 7: k1, * yo, k3, p2, k3tog, p2, k3, yo, k1*

“There appears to be a mistake on rows 13 & 15 of the Leaves of Lace pattern. Both rows, if you count the stitches on the pattern add up to 16, not 15 in each repeat. Can you take a peak and just tell me if the last K’s should be just decreased by 1 stitch? Thank you”

I have been having the same problem as Erica with row 15 as well. I too am wondering if the last K3tog should actually be a K2tog. Could you take a look again? Thanks!

I just finished knitting this pattern up again and you are right, it is k2tog, I will change it.
I went through it all again and tripled checked and knitted it with the instructions off the page so we should be right with this one now!

There is still a problem with row 15. I think the ssk should be repeated (within the asterisk). I ended up with several extra stitches as I am repeated the pattern several times within one row. Would you mind checking it again? Thanks!

I figured it out, it ends in k3tog, so it’s: ssk, * p2, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, p2, k3tog* – but here is the thing, on the last round at the end of the row it finishes in k2tog instead of k3tog.
I’m looking for a baby layette set with this pattern. I made 1 24 years ago when my girl was born and I dont have the pattern anymore , I’m not sure if it was a Patons pattern. All I can remember was the jacket had a collar . Many Thanks . Ally (Australian Knitter)

Im a recent beginner. A continental knitter but have advanced very fast with lots of Utube Tutorials and a knitting Bible I was given well over 20 years ago from a REAL LACE MAKER. I’m having fun playing with so many patterns. Learning lace patterns and love This knitting Bee sight. I’m currently just experimenting making Swatches. I’m intermediate Crocheter. And have also taken to Tunisian Knitting also. And I have written this pattern down and have been having fun making it. I had also noted comments on Row 13 and Row 15 not adding up. I did try the Row 13 correction. But it still didn’t add or work up. So I shifted the * to the begining of the Row, and kept * after K2tog. And had K1 at the end. So. This is how I found it to work.
Row 13: *k1, ssk, p2, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, p2, k2tog* K1.
I moved the asterisk to begining. Ended the Row with a K1. And found that worked. And yes. K2tog at end of last round in Row 15 instead of k3tog is a brilliant correction too. So yes. I found that when I moved the Asterisk to begining of Row 13 as I have written above. And ending the entire Row with the remaining Last Knit worked. Hope this is helpful.

And I thankyou for this one. And hope that the adjustment I made make it all mote sense. Because I still found that it didn’t work until then.
